We are hiring full-time Software Engineers to work from our Silicon Valley Offices. We process H1-B Visas also so that qualified engineers can relocate to Silicon Valley regardless of where they are working currently. He holds a patent in Efficient Text Classification.

You will learn more about company building than you would learn at a top MBA program or at larger companies. We expect for most of the Engineers we hire, Infoaxe will be the last place they work at before starting out (hopefully without needing any Angel funding ;))

Software Engineer:

  • Requirements:

    • B.S, M.S. or Ph.D in Computer Science or equivalent

    Extraordinary Software Engineering Talent

    Extremely proficient in Java (C++, Python or other OO experience may help)

    Comfortable with JSP, Javascript, Html, CSS, Ajax

    Proficiency with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl/PHP), Tomcat

    Extremely proficient in Algorithm Design & Analysis(Space, Time complexity), Data Structures & Software Design

    Basic Linux System Administration Skills.

    Ability to quickly pick up new Skills, Technologies, Languages outside your comfort zone and getting things done.

    Experience with Hadoop, Map Reduce, Lucene, Nutch, Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3) etc. a plus.

    Experience writing Firefox browser extensions, Greasemonkey scripts, IE extensions a plus

    Experience with Machine Learning or Data Mining a plus

    Experience building Apps/Mashups with 3rd party APIs like Facebook, Twitter, iPhone, Android, Google, Yahoo etc. a plus

    Experience Scaling large Web Applications a plus.

    Experience with Visual or User Interaction Design a plus

    Ability to recruit other top Engineers to join the Infoaxe team is a plus

    You should be ready to make Infoaxe the primary focus of your life. Our goal is to build one of the defining companies of our generation. We are at >4M users now and are on track to reach 50M in 2-3 years. It will be hugely exciting, valuable and FUN.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Design, Build & Maintain the exciting new products & features in Infoaxe's Product Roadmap.

    Participate and contribute to Product Design decisions

    Scaling Infoaxe to work seamlessly for 100s of millions of users.

    Own and be responsible for large portions of the Product including aspects like Engineering, Design, Testing etc

    Manage Infoaxe engineers some of whom work remotely. We have great engineers from Ukraine, India, Canada as part of the team and will be hiring more.

    Operations work relating to bringing up new machines on Amazon's EC2, load balancing them, backups etc

    Based on interest, participate in Business Development activities like exploring new monetization options, distribution strategies etc.
